Methanol

Methanol is a key component in the manufacture of hundreds of other chemicals, solvents and other formulations. Approximately 40% of methanol is converted into formaldehyde which is in turn used in the manufacture of a diverse range of products such as plastics, paints, textiles, pigments and dyes.
Methanol is also used to manufacture acetic acid, the fuel additive methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), biodiesel and increasingly as a feedstock for new methanol to olefins plants. The plant will produce 10,000 MTPD of methanol using Lurgi technology. The methanol offtake will be contracted to BP Oil International for a period of 10 years.
Gas Liquids

The gas plant consists of a dedicated 340 mmscf/day gas processing facility, designed and constructed by Lummus Technology. The plant will process the wet gas from OML 32 & 33 into natural gas and natural gas liquids by means of state of the art equipment and the latest processing technologies.
